LaFamPac is the financial vehicle through which you can support the election or reelection of those candidates who share your commitment to family medicine.

At the 2007 Board of Directors Meeting, they approved that the LAFP form a political action committee. The LAFP Board was appreciative of this reaffirming the Louisiana Academy to seek PAC donations. The PAC Board would like you to consider making a donation to help us achieve this goal.

Last year, we raised $8,500.00 in LAFP member contributions. Therefore, our minimum goal this year is $10,000.00. We have just kicked off our annual request for PAC donations and are asking that every member consider making at least a $100.00 donation so that we are able to continue to support candidates and promote family medicine in the State of Louisiana.

Elected legislators make decisions about your financial survival and providing a medical home for your patients. These decisions are made in the chambers of the Louisiana House and Senate, not in the exam room.

As a contributor, you have the opportunity to attend events and deliver LaFamPac contributions to members of the Legislature. You can help promote issues important to family medicine and build a relationship with your local Senators and Representatives.
