LAFP WANTS to go GREEN!
Great News! In pursuit of conservation of resources, more effective meetings, and continual improvement of productivity, the LAFP will now offer syllabus materials to meeting attendees on a jump driverather than syllabus binder. If you would rather have a hard copy of syllabus materials, the LAFP will be more than happy to mail you the files so that you may print them and bring them with you to the meeting.
And in addition to being earth-friendly, “Going Green” for the Scientific Assembly allows you access to all session handouts – not just the sessions for which you attend and it eliminates carrying around bulky syllabi at the meeting! All registered attendees will have access to handouts online before, during, and after the Assembly.
Prior to the Assembly
Approximately two (2) weeks before the meeting, visit the website and proceed to Session Handouts. Download the materials or print them if you prefer and bring them with you to the meeting. Or contact Mary Catherine Koonce at the LAFP office and she will email you a copy of everything you need!
During the Assembly
A jump drive containing all of the meeting materials will be given to you upon registration.
After the Assembly
The handouts will remain on LAFP ’s Annual Meeting website, for two months following the Assembly.
Three great reasons to support LAFP ’s decision to go paperless.
- Syllabi will be more complete, and on-line access allows presentations and handouts to be added for your access up until the time of the meeting as received.
- Electronic copies are a more efficient way of keeping track of handouts. Paper brought back from meetings is sometimes misplaced or accidentally discarded. Electronic storage is a much better way of maintaining information for later use.
