LSUHSC-Shreveport Student Bryant Boyd Receives 2008 Family Medicine Externship Scholarship
Congratulations to Bryant R. Boyd from Bossier City. Bryant has been awarded a scholarship to participate in the 2008 LAFP Foundation Family Medicine Externship Program. The LAFP’s Family Medicine Externship Program is a four-week clerkship that exposes rising second-year medical students to the daily activities of family physicians. From participating in this program Bryant will gain a better understanding of the role that the family physician plays in his community. Bryant is a first year medical student at LSUHSC-Shreveport, and has chosen Dr. E.J. Mayeaux, a staff physician at LSUHSC-Shreveport, as his preceptor. Bryant has chosen to conduct a study on cryotherapy during his clerkship. Congratulations to Bryant on your award and special thanks to Dr. E.J.
