LAFP Student Member Lacey Millet Receives Scholarship to Attend Family Medicine Congressional Conference
The LAFP would like to say congratulations to Lacey Millet of Lutcher, Louisiana, for being awarded the 2008 Family Medicine Congressional Conference Student & Resident Scholarship. Lacey is a student at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans and is currently Vice President of the Rural Medicine Interest Group. At the Annual Family Medicine Congressional Conference, Lacey will be educated on family medicine's legislative priority issues as well as how to lobby. She will then have the opportunity to put those skills to use during visits with federal legislators and their staff. Once again, congratulations to Lacey!
