	AAFP Public Health Award Nominations Due Feb. 6 LAFP wants your suggestions for a Louisiana nominee for the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Public Health Award. Nominations are due Friday, Feb. 6. This award recognizes individuals who have made or are making extraordinary contributions to the American public's health. Nominees may be: Non-physicians who have an extraordinary impact on the public health of their community, state or nation; or Practicing physicians who go beyond their patient community and have an extraordinary impact on the public health; or Physicians working in public health who have an extraordinary impact on public health. If you would like to submit a nomination, please send that person’s name to Mary Catherine Koonce. In order for LAFP to forward a nomination to AAFP on time, nominations must be received by LAFP no later than Friday, Feb. 6.
