LAFP Receives Incentive for AAFP/FMIG Student Membership Coordinator Recruitment

This past year the AAFP student membership coordinator program was expanded to include incentives for student interest activities. Chapters were encouraged to help find a designated AAFP/FMIG student membership coordinator at each of their medical school campuses. Graham Center One-pager, "Having a Usual Source of Care Reduces Visits to the Emergency Department", was Published in the Jan. 15th Edition of American Family Physician

The publication states: "The recent growth in the use of emergency departments (EDs) is costly, undesirable, and unnecessary. This trend is partly due to a growing proportion of persons who lack a usual source of care.
