I wanted to both welcome our many new members to Atlantic Health Partners and provide you with the details of the Sanofi Pasteur “Team Up for Fall Savings” promotion:
Receive an additional 3% savings when you order Adacel and/or Menactra vaccines!
- The additional 3% discount applies to all Adacel and Menactra vaccines ordered and shipped from September 29, 2008 through October 29, 2008
- This discount is in addition to the Atlantic contract price and any attained VaxMax Program discounts
- Convenient shipping – no delay with standard shipping timelines

There are also several other updates to review:
- Merck projects that its pediatric Hepatitis A vaccine (Vaqta) will be back on the market by the end of year, and its adult Hepatitis A vaccine will be available 1Q 2009. We will notify you once Vaqta is again available as this is the required Hepatitis A vaccine with our program.
- There has been a very positive response to Pentacel, Sanofi’s pediatric combination vaccine. Due to the HIB shortage, practices are typically providing 3 doses of HIB (either with Pentacel or the ActHIB product), which means Daptacel (DTAP) and IPOL (Polio) are used for the respective fourth doses. As a reminder – please use the Sanofi DTAP and Polio products, as the GSK Kinrix vaccine is not an eligible vaccine with our program. Use of Kinrix will adversely affect our ability to maintain our favorable contract pricing and will jeopardize your participation with Atlantic. As a reminder, other than Prevnar or in the event of a product shortage (such as with Vaqta) members of our program agree to only use Sanofi and Merck vaccines.
- We recently entered into a contract with MedImmune for Flumist. This intranasal flu vaccine can be ordered from Besse (800-543-2111), McKesson or Moore Medical (866-550-1166), and you will receive a 3.5% discount off the list price (list is $18.95, and the Atlantic price is $18.29, excluding the $.75 Federal Excise Tax). The discount applies to all Flumist orders (if you did not otherwise receive a discount) – please notify me if you do not receive the Atlantic discount on your invoice as MedImmune has not perfected its administration of this contract.
- Sanofi’s Fluzone delivery has been on target and your orders should be fulfilled in their entirety. We do encourage all members to take delivery of the Fluzone order that your practice pre-booked earlier this year.
