John Fleming, MD, President-Elect of the LAFP, Came Out on Top of His Primary Election

John Fleming, MD, President-elect of the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians came out on top of his primary election on Oct. 4.

His nearest competitior who out-spent him 2:1 came in second with 34%. The election is for the 4th Congressional district which has been held by Jim McCrery for the last 20 yrs. This is an excellent opportunity to place a Family Physician in Congress. The runoff will be November 4th and the winner of this race will face a Democrat and two Independents in the general election on December 6.

Dr. Fleming plans to make several campaign stops throughout his district, which consists of 13 parishes. Dr. Fleming has a group called Physicians for Fleming in which doctors contribute a set amount of money to his campain to become members of the group. Anyone interested in joining may contact the campaign at (318) 510-3333.

*Submitted by Fleming for Congress
