Students and Residents

The Student and Resident Track was held in conjunction with the LAFP 64th Annual Assembly and Exhibition to allow students and residents who have an interest in family medicine a chance to interact with distinguished Louisiana physicians and network with Louisiana's exhibiting hospitals and companies. Students and Residents received first hand experience of how physicians mingle with company representatives and ask the right questions. 

Students: Received hands-on experience with a Joint Injection Workshop and a Central Line Workshop! Following these procedural workshops, Resident Member Lacey Millet, MD, presented a case presentation with a question and answer period as well as discussion among students and residents.

Residents: Residents had the option to attend the procedure workshops, practice management course OR physician CME classes. For the first time this year, we held a Jeopardy style "Battle of the Residents"from 3 pm-5 pm.
