LaPost: Louisiana Physician Order for Scope of Treatment
LaPOST(Louisiana Physician’s order for scope of treatment) Webinar hosted by LHA scheduled for Wednesday, January 25 at 12:00.  One hour CME credit had been approved for the webinar – to register please visit the LHA website by clicking here. Pre-registgration is required!

Purpose:
The LaPost document was given final approval by the Louisiana legislature, and is available as a physician resource when helping patients plan and state their end-of-life treatment preferences and goals of care. Implementation has been effective since June 2011.
This webinar is designed to discuss in detail:
  • What is LaPost?
  • How is LaPost different from advanced directives?
  • How does LaPost work across healthcare settings?
  • How to complete the form accuratly

 

Continuing Educational Credits:
Physicians: Aplication for 1.5 CME Prescribed Credits has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Nursing Home: Administrators will receive 1.5 hours of continuing education granted by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Nursing Facility Administrators.
Nursing: 1.5 contact hours will be awarded for this offering by the Louisiana Hospital Association for complete attendance of the program. The Louisiana Hospital Association is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing – CE Provider #39.  

Target Audience:
Physicians, Emergency Department Directors, ER Nurses, Social Workers, VP Patient Care Services, and Case Managers.
