Presentations

This section provides a guide for the Tar Wars classroom presentations.  Below is a brief overview of what you will discuss as a presenter in the classroom.  The only cost of being a presenter is your time.  Materials for the poster contest are provided along with any other materials you may need for the activities.  Contact your LAFP Foundation at 225-923-3313 or e-mail at mcivella@lafp.org if you have any questions regarding materials or activities.

Pre-Activity Worksheet.  Send this worksheet to the teacher before the day of the presentation.  Each student will fill the worksheet and you can discuss the results the day of the presentation.
 
Activity 1 - Short-term effects of tobacco.  5 minutes.
 
Activity 2 - Breathing Exercise.  5 minutes.
 
Activity 3 - Financial impact of tobacco.  5 minutes.
 
Activity 4 - Reasons people smoke.  5 minutes.
 
Activity 5 - Tobacco Advertising.  10 minutes
