2010 Winter Conference February 14-17, 2010
Hilton Walt Disney World® Resort , Orlando FL
The LAFP Winter Conference was held February 14-17, 2010, at
the Hilton in the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort in Orlando, FL. The 2010
Winter Conference offered 24 total CME credits, which includes 8 EB CME
credits while also allowing time to visit all that Lake Buena Vista
had to offer! The Hilton in the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort is located directly across from Downtown Disney® in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Conference attendees were able to take advantage of all that the Hilton had to offer since The Hilton is an official Walt Disney World hotel and is only steps away from some of Walt Disney World's most popular amenities and attractions, including:
Program Details Topics covered included: EHR, Prostate Cancer, Immunization, Endurance Sports for the Average Human Beings, B-12 Deficiency, Managing Diabetes; an overview is listed below. This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 24.0 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Of these credits, 8 conform to the AAFP criteria for evidence-based CME clinical content. CME credit has been increased to reflect 2 for 1 credit for only the EB CME portion. When reporting AAFP credit, report total Prescribed and Elective credit for this activity. It is not necessary to label credit as evidence-based CME for reporting purposes. The EB CME credit awarded for this activity was based on a current
clinical question that identifies gaps in learners’ knowledge, competency
and/or performance in medical practice as identified in the current evidence
available at the time this activity was approved. Since clinical research is
ongoing and new evidence to supporting practice improvement is constant, the
AAFP recommends that learners verify sources and review these as well as
practice recommendations prior to implementation into practice. The
