altThe Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians Nominating Committee seeks quality leaders who have the knowledge, time and commitment to help the Academy develop policy and services that will assist the membership in dealing with the present challenges and opportunities of practice.

Members of the LAFP Board are required to exercise a reasonable degree of knowledge, skill and care in bringing their best judgment to the performance of their responsibilities. It is the duty of Board members to keep themselves informed on the problems of the LAFP, to study the materials that are distributed to them, and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at decisions.  LAFP Officers and Board of Directors exercise the ultimate executive responsibility and authority of the LAFP and its their duty to act in the interest of the Academy. Board members are expected to attend meetings and to take part in the decision-making process.  The LAFP Board of Directors meets three times a year, with one meeting held during the summer in conjunction with the LAFP’s Annual Scientific Assembly.
