The Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians cordially invites you to attend a CME presentation titled, “Beyond the Prescription: Understanding Polypharmacy.”
Learning Objectives:
- Review the various definitions of polypharmacy and multimorbidity and understand the extent of the problem.
- Define the different criteria for deprescribing including BEERS, AGS and AAFPChoosing Wisely
- Medication Review and Implementing Sustainable Models to address Polypharmacy
- Identify and evaluate the opportunities and challenges in addressing polypharmacy in diverse patient populations
- Design and deliver small-scale educational interventions (STEP UP sessions)

About the Speaker:
Dr. Yuvapriya Ravikumar was born in Mumbai, but grew up in a variety of places. She changed 14 schools before graduating high school! Dr. Ravikumar graduated from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in Maharashtra. She loves reading books especially medical fiction, watching Korean drama, travelling, and writing on her mental health blog called Gray Matter.
