Qualified health care service and support providers now have access to relief funds for appropriate expenses, lost revenue due to COVID-19, or to help uninsured Americans get testing and treatment for COVID-19. The deadline for applying for the funds has been extended to September 13, 2020.
You must begin the process to have your TIN verified before this deadline. HHS has also streamlined the application and the process based on feedback they have received from providers and provider groups. LAFP recommends that all physicians who believe they may be eligible for these funds apply now.If you see patients on Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program and you have not yet applied for financial relief, you now have until September 13th to apply.
If you received an automatic Medicare-based payment and you either rejected that initial payment or did not apply for additional funding, you can now attest to receiving the initial payment and then apply for a second, "true-up" payment, bringing your total relief payment up to 2% of your annual patient revenue. The deadline to apply is September 13th.

Louisiana Medicaid has also created additional Frequently Asked Questions to help with the process after several discussions with providers about the difficulties faced.
