Laura Rachal, MD

About the Speaker:
Dr. Rachal is the daughter of LAFP member Dr. Paul and Ms. Catherine Rachal. She completed her undergraduate at LSU and her Medicine – Pediatrics residency at Tulane. She is currently in her third year of a combined Medicine – Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship at UNC. Her interests include interests in Global Health, emerging pathogens and HIV in under resourced settings. Her clinical experiences this past year have provided broad education and experience, but the COVID-19 pandemic has provided a unique opportunity to gain expertise in aspects of clinical management of a new pandemic. She plans to return to Louisiana to practice.
