The American Medical Association added codes to the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code set covering Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for 6-month- to 5-year-old children in anticipation of emergency use authorization, and strongly urged parents to get their children vaccinated. CPT Code 91311 applies to the vaccine, 0111A applies to administration of the first dose, and 0112A covers administration of the second dose.
