ABFM Update: “What’s New to Support Your Certification Journey?

Being board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) demonstrates your commitment to an ongoing process of keeping up-to-date and striving to deliver the best care possible to your patients and your community. Your certification means a lot! However, sometimes navigating through the Family Medicine Certification process to organize stage requirements can get a tad confusing.

LAFP is proud to partner with the ABFM to host a webinar on updates in the family medicine certification process. Elizabeth G. Baxley, MD will review the updates made to maintain your certification. If you have any questions regarding ABFM Family Medicine Certification, this is a great opportunity to get your questions answered, to find out what the ABFM has been up to, and what changes have been made to streamline the process.

During the webinar, participants will:

  1. Describe the purpose and value proposition underpinning continuous board certification
  2. Articulate recent improvements to the certification process and activities, including the longitudinal assessment alternative to the one-day exam, new and improved self-assessment options, and more relevant and seamless ways to meet the PI requirement.
  3. Discuss issues related to Professionalism in Family Medicine
  4. Utilize MyABFM Portfolio and other new ABFM communications channels intended to facilitate their certification efforts
Attendance is free, but registration is required.  Register Today!
