Tulane FMIGThe FMIG at Tulane School of Medicine held its first meeting of the semester on Thursday, September 29, 2023. Over 60 students attended the meeting to learn more about all things Family Medicine.

Dr. Rade Pejic, Program Director-East Jefferson FMRP, hosted a presentation, “What it Means to be a Family Physician”. Dr. Pejic talked about the specialty of Family Medicine, what a typical day as a family physician entails, and gave an overview of all the family medicine residency programs in Louisiana. Dr. Cole Pratt, Program Director-DePaul FMRP, talked about the new program at DePaul. LAFP staff member, Lee Ann Albert, gave an overview of the LAFP and AAFP and encouraged the students to join the Academy.
