The LAFP values our resident and student members. We are one of the few professional membership organizations that actively recruits and involves our resident and student members to leadership roles. As a student and resident, you are the future of Family Medicine, and serving as a delegate ensures that issues important to you and your colleagues are communicated to the full membership of LAFP. It helps our active members connect with you early in your career and establish relationships that will last as you transition into your practice.

As a resident and student member, you have many opportunities to get involved with LAFP.  Nominations are now open for resident and student delegate positions to the LAFP Board of Directors, the LAFP General Assembly and the AAFP National Conference.  Any member may nominate themselves or a colleague.

If you are interested in serving as a student or resident delegate, complete the online Nomination Application. Once nominations are closed, a ballot will be sent out for voting. Watch for nomination updates in The Weekly Family Medicine Update.
