The American Academy of Family Physicians acknowledges and embraces the diversity of its membership.  They have created Member Interest Groups (MIGS) as a way to connect members who share professional interests. MIGs are a great way to network with fellow members and participate in interest-specific continuing professional development activities. MIGs offer members a way to participate in online community forum for discussion and idea-sharing.

Member Interest Groups Include:

  • Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care
  • Employed Physician
  • Direct Primary Care
  • Global Health
  • Obstetrics
  • Reproductive Health
  • And Many More

Group members have the opportunity to:

  • Network with fellow AAFP members
  • Participate in interest-specific continuing professional development activities
  • Deliver a unified message to AAFP leadership
  • Suggest AAFP policy
  • Provide input on AAFP policies and positions (upon request)
  • Pursue professional leadership development within the AAFP
  • Connect to existing AAFP resources
  • Meet face-to-face at AAFP’s Family Medicine Experience (FMX)
  • Promote AAFP membership.
