The session is an exclusive members-only benefit; attendees can earn 1 AAFP Prescribed credit. For those who cannot attend the live session, it will be recorded and made available as an on-demand activity shortly after the live event.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand the effect of climate change on global health, with a particular focus on health equity and vulnerable populations.
  • Learn strategies to integrate climate change considerations into clinical practice and patient care, with an emphasis on addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.
  • Familiarize with available resources, guidelines, and tools that can support family physicians in understanding and addressing the health impacts of climate change.

The session is expected to run approximately one hour and will include a Q&A session. Faculty will also provide attendees with details on resources, guidelines and tools to assist family physicians in understanding the effects of climate change on clinical practice and patient care, in particular the care of vulnerable populations.
