The AAFP is committed to prioritizing the well-being of its members, their clinical colleagues and staff, and by extension, their institutions. To that end, the AAFP is continually growing resources to support physicians in not only caring for themselves, but in leading change and championing well-being for their health systems.

Most recently, the AAFP has launched 12 new on-demand CME courses designed to help members care for themselves, their peers, and others on their team as they build knowledge about numerous wellness issues and hone their leadership skills. Even better, the vast majority of these courses are available to members free of charge.

The courses cover a range of topics, such as using team-based care to combat burnout, creating a culture of well-being, addressing health professionals' suicide risk, embracing strategies to thrive even during stressful times, cultivating joy in practice, and managing finances and debt.

There is also available some recently added collection of well-being resources: Coaching Videos for Your Wellness Journey. Members can get help from their peers as they build well-being skills that will serve them throughout their career. They'll learn from experts, such as family physician Dike Drummond, M.D., who have navigated the same path. After watching the videos, members can enrich their experience by claiming free CME credits.
