Gauge Dec 2022The LAFP Foundation aims to ensure a thriving family physician workforce for Louisiana and provides various programs that contribute to family medicine awareness and involvement.

Through generous donations to the LAFP Foundation, our resident and student delegates were able to attend the 76th Annual Assembly and Exhibition in New Orleans.  Over the course of the conference, our resident and student members attended CME sessions and social events.  More importantly, they were able to meet colleagues from across the state.

The LAFP Foundation hosted the Resident Student Track on Saturday, July 22, 2023. The Track combined relevant, interesting sessions that included the importance of legislative advocacy, an overview of the legal aspects associated with Family Medicine and a general update on the healthcare landscape in Louisiana. In the afternoon, our residency program hosted hands-on workshops for attendees to practice skills used daily in practice.

Our student and resident members are vital to ensuring a strong Active membership.  Please consider making a donation to the LAFP Foundation, and it’s easy to make online. 100% of your tax-exempt donation will be used to offer key experiences to our future family physicians. Still have questions, please contact Lee Ann Albert at This email address is being protected from spambots.
