Dr. Joe Romito was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He attended undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania and received a master's degree from the University of Chicago where his thesis was on comic books. He has called New Orleans home since 2011 when he followed his now wife, Rebecca, as she attended law school at Tulane. They welcomed their son, Joe V or "Quint," in December 2019. He obtained his MD from LSU-New Orleans and chose to pursue his residency in Family Medicine because of an interest in providing full spectrum primary care. He enjoys making mead (honey wine) and spending time with his two rescue dogs and cat named after wizards (Gandalf, Bigby, and Merlin).
