Resident membership in the Academy represents an important step in your career. It signifies your decision to identify and associate with the most knowledgeable physicians in an organization dedicated to advancing and representing the specialty of family medicine.
Eligibility for Resident Membership
- Physicians training in ACGME-accredited three-year family medicine residencies
- Graduates of ACGME family medicine residencies immediately extending training or entering fellowships
Privileges
Resident members may hold floor at the AAFP Congress of Delegates, vote on organizational matters and hold leadership positions within the AAFP.
