Learning Objectives
- Differentiate infectious pneumonia from immune checkpoint inhibitor–associated pneumonitis based on clinical presentation, imaging findings, and treatment history.
- Identify key diagnostic strategies for evaluating respiratory symptoms in oncology patients receiving immunotherapy, including appropriate laboratory and radiographic assessment.
- Apply current guideline recommendations for grading and treating immune checkpoint inhibitor toxicities in hospitalized and ambulatory patients.

Ashton Says, DO |
Dr. Ashton Says, a native of Starks, Louisiana, earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is currently a first-year Family Medicine resident at the Memorial LSU–New Dr. Says was drawn to family medicine by his desire to care for patients across all stages of life. He has a strong passion for rural medicine and is committed to serving communities with limited access to healthcare. |

Tuan Pham, MD |
Dr. Tuan Pham is a board-certified Family Medicine physician, Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, and core faculty member of the Memorial LSU–New Orleans Family Medicine Residency Program. He earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed his residency at the Memorial/LSUHSC Family Medicine Residency Program, where he served as Chief Resident from 2003–2004. Dr. Pham is deeply committed to patient care and medical education and is known for his infectious enthusiasm for learning and dedication to teaching future physicians. |
