LAFP is proud to bring you FREE CME. We will offer a live webinar once a month. The webinars will be updates on hot topics, professional development, and educational resources to help you in your daily practice. LAFP is partnering with the leaders in our state and from the national level to produce the educational offerings.

We will use Zoom to broadcast the webinars. If you don't have a personal Zoom account, please sign-up and sign-in before the meeting begins. Zoom registration is FREE.  Registration is required and the links for each session is below for the upcoming sessions.

The AAFP has reviewed LAFP Webinar Series and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 11/05/2020 to 11/04/2021. Common Cutaneous Disorders in Children: Practical Treatments for the Family Doctor

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss common pediatric dermatological problems; atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris, tinea corporis and capitis, tinea versicolor, seborrheic dermatitis, cutaneous staph infections, molluscum contagiosum, and cutaneous warts.
2. Provide Up-to-date and evidenced-based treatment recommendations for each condition discussed
3. Discuss patient education for each condition
4. Understand when to refer patients to dermatology for each condition
 
About the Speaker:

Aimee Coscarart HeadshotDr. Emily Coscarart received her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her medical degree from Louisiana State Health Sciences Center Medical School in New Orleans. Following this, she completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She also completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Tulane.

Dr. Coscarart is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has been on staff at Ochsner since August 2019. She has a special interest in pediatric dermatology and alopecia. Her expertise is in skin cancer and diseases of the hair, skin, and nails in both adults and children.

She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Rachal, family practice doctor in New Roads. She and her husband Lander live in New Orleans with their four children Natalie, Lillian, Lander Michael and Joseph.
