2. Increase the understanding of utilizing chronic care visits to address preconception care.
3. Discuss strategies to individualize counseling to help patients achieve preconception health goals.
4. Review strategies for treatment and monitoring mood disorder and substance abuse.

Program Faculty

Nora Lamartine, MD, FAAFP Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine LSU Health Family Medicine Residency Program - Kenner New Orleans, Louisiana Dr. Nora Lamartine is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at LSUHSC-New Orleans and faculty with the Family Medicine Residency in Kenner, LA. She completed her MD at Ross University School of Medicine, residency at the University of Massachusetts Family and Community Medicine Residency—where she also served as Chief Resident—and a clinical fellowship in Obstetrics and Women’s Health at Texas A&M. Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Lamartine was the founding Program Director of a rural, community-based family medicine residency in New Mexico. She has extensive experience in curriculum development, clinical education for MD, PA, and NP learners, and quality improvement initiatives in primary care. Dr. Lamartine has presented nationally on rural workforce development and innovative educational programs.

The AAFP has reviewed 2026 Monthly Webinar/Grand Rounds Series and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Terms of approval is from 1/20/2026 to 12/23/2026.
