Over the last two years, our organizations have focused on enhancing the medical education of not only our student and resident members but also our Active members as well. FMOLHS physicians have led CME lectures during our Annual Assembly and hosted hands-on workshops for our student and residents.

We are excited that FMOLHS will once again be a sponsor for our Regional Procedural Workshops. These events are aimed to not only introduce and allow students to practice procedures that family physicians routinely perform, but also to expose students to different aspects of family medicine. The area residency programs (faculty and residents in training) will lead the workshops and discuss family medicine, their training in the field and their experience practicing in a variety of settings in Louisiana.
