Ante Up…Auction Items Are Needed!
The LAFP Foundation is gearing up for the 2019 Foundation Auction. This year’s event will be a Casino Royale theme with casino games for everyone to enjoy, but let’s not forgot the purpose of the night! The Foundation raises funds to provide education like the Student & Resident Track free of charge to those that are the “Future of Family Medicine.” The Foundation also provides many other scholarships and awards to students and residents throughout the years amongst other initiatives, therefore the Live Auction hosted at the Annual Assembly is one of the main fundraisers for the Foundation.
We need your help! It’s not too early to consider donating items for the event. Your generosity could take many forms. Some ideas include:
- Jewelry
- Hotel stays, vacation destinations, travel arrangements, tours
- Luxury or personal services
- Restaurant gift certificates
- Special event or sporting event tickets
- Sports memorabilia
- Art
- Wine
- Culinary equipment
No item is too small as we can use it to pair with other items for a gift basket. The annual live auction will be held in conjunction with the President’s Party on August 2nd. It serves not only as a fun social event for Academy members and their guests, but also as an important fundraiser for the LAFP.
