Please note: The meeting agenda has been updated and some of the social events have either been cancelled or altered to ensure the safety of our attendees. Some of our speakers will be presenting virtual. If we get down the road and issues arise, we will revisit our decision.

We are offering a worry free registration. You may cancel at any time without penalties. You may cancel your room with a full refund if cancelled 7 days in advance of stay.

Our meeting may look different, our delivery of CME may be new, but our commitment to our members and guests to connect in a safe environment remains the same.

Registration

The LAFP is offering an in-person and virtual option to attend the meeting this year. Please read the details below on each option.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS

As we plan our education sessions and events, we want to make you aware of our LAFP Safety Protocols for the meeting. Sandestin Resort has also implemented Banquet Safe Practices and Enhanced Cleaning Initiatives. We are committed to having a safe meeting while social distancing.

VIRTUAL ATTENDANCE

What we have learned – is that we must continue to learn. It is what drives us, it is what will prepare us no matter what we are faced with in the future. And yes, it has taught us to be flexible. This is an opportunity to state the obvious – that continuing medical education is as critical and evolving as any pandemic. And in response, LAFP is offering the 73rd Annual Assembly & Exhibition in a virtual experience.

Attend our virtual CME sessions focused on the treatment and management of chronic diseases.  Vital to the conference experience is our virtual exhibit floor. Stop by and learn about new services and products. Some of the exhibitors will be available real-time to talk to you and answer any questions you may have.  While the virtual event will not offer all of the social activities for you to attend, those events will return next year, and we will celebrate in style!

A detailed e-mail will be sent one week prior to all registrants that will outline how you access the “live” zoom session as well as the instructions for the meeting app. The “Program Schedule” tab outlines the sessions that will be “live” via zoom.  During the “live” zoom, you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Also, for this year, the LAFP General Assembly and Members Meeting will be offered virtually for those who are not able to attend in person. Please make sure to register for the members meeting even if you do not plan to attend any of the CME sessions.  You will be sent a meeting link for this meeting that will be separate from the sessions.
